Activision’s Guitar Hero: World Tour Details
For the past couple weeks there has been a stream of rumors about Guitar Hero: World Tour. Today, Activision officially popped the lid on Guitar Hero: World Tour details, and as rumored, the franchise’s titular instrument is in for a makeover.
Activision has verified many of the prior rumors to be true, including the three pad two cymbol drum set. Activision even showed off their new guitar which will feature a multipurpose touch strip, that accomidates smooth finger tapping solos and adds a distortion effect separate from the standard whammy bar. They also talked about World Tours hot music which will be master tracks of all the original songs. There will be roughly 85 total songs along with many different artists including Billy Idol, The Foo Fighters, Sublime, Linkin Park, Van Halen, Korn, The Eagles, Jimi Hendrix, Smashing Pumpkins, Ozzy Osbourne and many more.
Guitar Hero: World Tour exspected to hit stores this fall for the Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, and the Wii. Even though the pricing information has not been announced, rumors have estimated the pricing between $179 and $189 for the bundle.

Looks like Activision is going after Rock Band fans. This will only benefit gamers…good stuff.
