Did XBOX 360’s Hardware Issues Affect Brand Prerences?
The first line of XBox 360’s all seemed to have problems, they broke with in weeks of production outraging owners and causing chaos. Microsoft was able to solve the problem and repair or replace all of the broken 360’s. My360 had to replaced after only one week of use. After all this chaos went down there is only one question to ask, did broken XBox 360’s affect brand preference?
The answer to this question is no. Robbie Bach of Microsoft said, “The amazing part of that whole situation is that when we look at brand preference, customer satisfaction, willingness to recommend, none of that data has moved through that whole process” Bach then went to say, “It speaks to the fact that they love their games and Xbox Live. Does it frustrate them? Yes. On the other hand, they know we’re taking care of them,” I think there are too many things about the XBox 360 to love, it has XBox live, great graphics, great games, and great customer service. I will always stay a loyal costomer to Microsoft and any of their game systems.

Most gamers seem to be going multi platform anyway so its hard to say. plus that fact that through that time the PS3 had nothing to play did kinda help out.
June 19th, 2008 at 3:07 pmI had to return my 360 three times, which did piss me off, but Microsoft in all three occasions had it back to me within a week and threw in a couple of games to calm me down. That impressed me. It’s been a year so far and no more problems. Also when they increased the warranty to three years for the RROD it demonstrated their commitment to stand behind their product. Another cool point. All in all I’m very pleased with my 360 and the library of titles I have, and look forward to at least 10 titles coming in the remainder of 2008 that are a must have for me. With an anticipated price drop this year and a newer version on the horizon I’m looking to purchase another one and give my premium to my kid. The one beef I do have is the price and size of the hard drives. If they really want me to embrace DLC they need get a handle on that. Otherwise GAME ON!
June 24th, 2008 at 3:25 pmI’ve had a grand total of 5 XBOX 360s…luckily I purchased the 2-year replacement plan on the original purchase.I don’t think I would every buy a PS3…too much $ and not enough decent games.
